Rukan Varpu – adventure-ready ski-in cabin in central Ruka

Rukan Varpu is the adventure-ready nest of the Ruka Nest collection — a cozy ski-in cabin inspired by the resilient shrubs of the northern forest. It is made for active days outdoors, easy slope access and relaxed evenings after skiing, hiking or biking. The cabin has a practical layout for families, friends and outdoor travellers. Downstairs includes a living area with a wood-burning fireplace, a well-equipped kitchen, one bedroom, bathroom, private sauna and separate toilet. The loft sleeps three additional guests, and the living room sofa can be converted into an extra bed. Rukan Varpu is a warm and functional base for every Ruka season.

• Bed linen and towels are available on request for 25 € per person, per stay. This fee may be charged separately depending on booking channel.

• Electric car charging is available at the public parking area near the cabin, approximately 100 m away. The same area has space for larger vehicles such as snowmobile trailers.
• This is a self-check-in cabin with no front desk.
  

The slopes, restaurants and Ruka services are within easy walking distance. A car is not needed for daily skiing or dining. Free parking is available next to the cabin. Public EV charging is available nearby. The nearby parking area can also accommodate larger vehicles such as snowmobile trailers.

Rukan Varpu is located in Ruka Vuosseli, close to slopes, restaurants, trails and outdoor routes. The location is ideal for guests who want to spend their days skiing, hiking, biking or exploring Kuusamo’s nature. Despite the central location, the cabin has a peaceful and private feel on its own plot.
